Theatre Alive is NTG's annual summer workshop for students grade 1-12 to learn about all elements of a theatrical production. The workshop meets on Thursdays May 31-June 27 where the students will play theatre games while learning lines, blocking, and choreography for a musical production.
Q. What will we do during Theatre Alive?
A. Each student will have a role in the musical and learn lines, songs, and choreography. We will learn about staging, blocking, voice projection, props, staging, and publicity.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The price is $50 per student. Tickets to the performance will be $10 and can be purchased at the door.
Q. What will we wear for costumes?
A. All participants will receive a performance T-Shirt. We will create items to enhance our characters.
Q. What kind of parts are there?
A. There will be major roles and ensemble roles, but everyone will be on stage, even if they don't have a speaking part.
Q. What ages can come?
A. The camp is open to students between first and twelfth grade.
Q. What if I miss a day?
A. We know other things are going on like vacations and VBS. Let us know what days you might miss and we will work with you as best we can. If you have to miss days, you may be cast in a smaller role.
Q. Where can I learn more?
